Welcome to the Office of International Cooperation (OIC) at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM). For more than a decade, KFUPM has been actively engaged in major collaborative projects and partnerships with established universities and industry partners from all over the world.  The OIC is the first contact for international relations at the university level, which is committed to facilitating the cooperation and exchange between the university and overseas universities, companies, research institutions/centers and renown scholars to develop international education, collaborative research, and disciplines and to enhance our global standing.

Mandate

The mandate of the Office of International Cooperation is to facilitate and implement international initiatives and activities at the University through various channels. In particular, the OIC will:

  • Establish and maintain international relationships and agreement.

  • Serve as the University negotiating office for international contracts and agreements.

  • Represent the University in international activities.

  • Collaborate with international associations and organizations to promote the University interests.

  • Facilitate the exchange of faculty and students.

  • Review and archive the visiting scholars visit reports.

  • Serve as a resource office for all international cooperative activities.

  • Collaborate with other KFUPM offices/deanships in relation to international business.

  • Facilitate the appropriate international cooperation conferences or workshops.

  • Maintain a database and publish a newsletter to communicate international/activities to the community
